We are pleased that the D.C. Circuit Court has affirmed the FCC’s decision to dedicate the full 6 GHz band for unlicensed technologies like Wi-Fi.
The Commission’s decision was smart, well-researched, unanimous and bipartisan. We look forward to consumers getting faster, lower latency Wi-Fi operations in the band, which will include Wi-Fi 6E and eventually next-generation Wi-Fi 7.
We are confident the Commission can provide further explanation on how its rules protect indoor, mobile Broadcast Auxiliary Service users, in response to the Court’s very limited remand. In the meantime, we look forward to the FCC continuing to approve new unlicensed devices that allow Americans to benefit from the 6 GHz band.
