Washington, D.C.– WifiForward issued the following statement following the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology hearing, “Oversight of the Federal Communications Commission:”
“Wi-Fi is a uniquely American success story, and it didn’t happen by accident. The first Trump administration’s decision to unlock the 6 GHz band for unlicensed use was a clear success, with the U.S. leading the world in ubiquitous, fast Wi-Fi. Today, Wi-Fi remains affordable and accessible, helping families and businesses lower costs while powering the next generation of connected technologies. As consumers spend their hard-earned money on the latest devices, they also expect those devices to utilize the fastest speeds available, which is dependent on sufficient unlicensed spectrum. To remain a global leader, power the innovations of tomorrow, and stay steps ahead of our adversaries, the U.S. must continue to prioritize the Wi-Fi on which we all rely.”
