STATEMENT: WifiForward Reacts to the House Energy & Commerce Committee’s Budget Reconciliation Text

Today, WifiForward released the following statement reacting to the House Energy & Commerce Committee’s budget reconciliation text:

Under the leadership of Chairman Brett Guthrie, the House Energy & Commerce Committee has demonstrated it is committed to continuing the Trump Administration’s 2020 decision that allocated 6 GHz to Wi-Fi. The Committee’s text aligns with our view that unlicensed spectrum is already delivering enormous value to consumers and should not be disturbed. Wi-Fi carries 80%-90% of U.S. smartphone data traffic and is needed to maintain expected mobile and data growth. We look forward to continued engagement with the Committee and its Senate counterparts to ensure America’s spectrum policy reflects American consumer demand and continues to advance competition.
