June 20th, 2017 was World Wi-Fi Day—a day dedicated to celebrating the massive social and economic impact of Wi-Fi, and its capacity to bridge the digital divide, shrink the homework gap and generate unparalleled economic opportunity. WifiForward and the Consumer Technology Association kicked off celebrations for World Wi-Fi Day the evening before with Wi-Fi themed food and cocktails and opening remarks from FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly.
