Wi-Fi: Powering the U.S. Economy

Friday, May 24, 2018 | District Architecture Center, Washington, DC

In 2017 alone, unlicensed spectrum added over $525 billion in GDP and jobs to the U.S. economy. We hosted a discussion about the innovative and economic power of unlicensed spectrum and how it is driving the American economy. The numbers —which speak for themselves—show how fast the market and technology are changing.

The presentation featured our study author Dr. Raul Katz and was followed by a fireside chat with FCC Commissioners Rosenworcel and O’Rielly examining how unlicensed spectrum is the key to powering the U.S. economy.

Speakers:

Ellen Satterwhite, Glen Echo Group

Study Author Dr. Raul Katz, Telecom Advisory Services, LLC

FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel

FCC Commissioner Mike O’Rielly
