Today, WifiForward released the following statement regarding the 2025 NTIA Spectrum Policy Symposium, including Administrator Roth’s keynote address:
“Wi-Fi is a remarkable, America First success story that delivered 7 million jobs in 2023 alone and will unlock $1.9 trillion in economic value for the U.S. economy in the next two years. The Trump administration’s forward-thinking 2020 decision to devote the entire 6 GHz band to unlicensed use positioned the U.S. to lead the world in wireless innovation and transformed what is possible for American connectivity.
“NTIA Administrator Arielle Roth’s keynote address rightfully highlighted that, with American ingenuity in full swing, adversaries like China struggle to compete and are constantly looking for ways to sabotage our innovation. Defending and protecting Wi-Fi access for our allies across the globe – both by pushing back on adversaries’ attempts to redefine the 6 GHz band and additionally by securing the lower 7 GHz band for unlicensed use – is critical to our national security and continued military dominance.
“WifiForward commends Administrator Roth for her thoughtful attention to these policies that will help cement American leadership for years to come.”
